The concern of O O Bogomolets National Medical University’s Indian Students
In recent years, the popularity of O O Bogomolets National Medical University increased among medical aspirants of India. The university holds a deep legacy of education history since 1841. More than 1500 Indian medical students are currently enrolled in different years of MBBS studies. It is expected that government will replace the Foreign Medical Graduate Exam (FMGE) with this.
In the next two years, they (students) will come to India to practice medicine and at that time they will appear in this exam. according to those students, the biggest concern is they have no information about the exam and its pattern. However, the health ministry of India has made it clear that we will give proper time to students for preparation.
NEXT Exam Update
The government of India is working on war mode to improve the medical education system of the country. For this, they have drafted the National Medical commission bill 2019 and the NEXT exam is part of this bill.
According to the proposed draft, this exam will be mandatory to pass by the final year students. After passing the exam their MBBS degree will be valid in India. This exam is mandatory for all the students who are about to complete the exam in 2023 or so on. Also, the government is planning to use the score of the National Exit Test to get admission in post-graduation programs. Altogether, the NEXT exam is currently in the drafting phase but this step is being considered as a milestone to improve the medical education of India.
